Meet Kacie Borowicz - student athlete and aspiring artist at the University of North Dakota. Kacie is a guard for the UND women’s basketball team and is a semester away from earning her BA degree in visual arts.
Kacie was born and raised in Roseau, Minnesota where she played basketball through high school. With family ties to UND, and growing up relatively close to campus, her passion for UND and UND Athletics runs deep.
Kacie’s love for art started “all over the place.” She considers herself a painter, but she has worked with a variety of art mediums. Kacie was always doodling, drawing, and practicing her handwriting in grade school. She took an art class every year in high school and during her junior year of college, she decided to pursue art as a career.
Her passion for art grew even more after taking Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop classes at UND which taught her to expanded her creativity and style of art digitally. Now, as a graduate student, she is a visual arts major with an emphasis in graphic design and displays most of her work on an Instagram page titled @kac.creates.
The Sioux Shop is excited to partner with Kacie on a collection of apparel design by the UND guard and artist. Kacie, the Sioux Shop and UND Athletics thank you for your support!
