A native of Maple Grove, Minnesota, Zellers arrived in Grand Forks in 2025 as a freshman, ready to make an impact at one of the most tradition-rich programs in all of college hockey.

Zellers plays a fast-paced, attacking game, using his quick first step and offensive instincts to create space and finish plays. Known for his elite shot and playmaking vision, he made his mark at the junior level with Shattuck-St. Mary’s and later in the USHL, where he turned heads with his consistency and ability to produce against top competition.
