The Imperial Palace was a landmark hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip, owned and developed by Ralph Engelstad. After purchasing the Flamingo Capri Motel in 1971, Engelstad transformed the property into the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino, which officially opened on November 1, 1979.
