Ralph's Signature Collection

Ralph Engelstad was a proud University of North Dakota alumnus, graduating in 1954 with a degree in Commerce after playing goalie for the UND hockey team. A successful businessman and lifelong supporter of UND Athletics, Engelstad gave back to his alma mater in a historic way by donating more than $100 million to build the current Ralph Engelstad Arena, which opened in 2001. His generosity and passion for UND hockey helped create one of the premier college hockey facilities in the country, leaving a lasting legacy at the University and in Grand Forks.
